A-List: What do you love about the Spring Racing Carnival?
Jules: A day at the races is an opportunity to have a great day with friends where you can dress up for the occasion and celebrate while feeling your best. The getting ready and styling process is half the fun, pulling together interesting looks to express your individual sense of style. This season, we’re seeing an emergence of individuality with streetwear-inspired fashion and fun looks which are breaking away from the traditionally conservative racewear styles.

A-List: Top Races Fashion Tip?
Jules: Some favourite looks of mine include fun mini dresses in block prints, that can be layered with a white blouse or oversized blazer. Another look you can’t go wrong with is a tailored tuxedo dress or suit with plunging neckline. These are all really on-trend for this spring carnival, and in my opinion absolutely ok for the track if worn right. I would say when dressing for an all-day event the biggest mistake anyone can make is to choose something that isn’t comfortable to move in! No matter how gorgeous the clothing, if the wearer is uncomfortable that’s all people will see. It’s also hard to feel gorgeous when you’re completely suffocated by a dress or can’t walk properly!
